1990's

The activity of the timeline was a lot of fun. I had to find something significant during the 1990's. I found out that Google was announced in 1997. Larry Page and Sergey Brin decided that BackRub search engine needs a new name. They came up with Google, which is a play on the word "googol" a mathematical term for the number 1 followed by 100 zeros. I thought this was interesting because we use Google daily and I could not imagine not having it available to me. I use it on my cell phone even. This activity will definitely work for children of all ages.
